The union between a human egg cell and a sperm is known as human fertilization which basically occurs in the ampulla of the fallopian tube. The result of the union results to a production of a zygote or otherwise known as fertilized egg. The amount of time that passes between the fertilization and the first division of zygote is estimated to be 24 HOURS.
