if A is between M and C, then AM + AC = MC

2x + 8 + 3x + 6 = 7x
5x + 14 = 7x
14 = 7x - 5x
14 = 2x
14/2 = x
7 = x

AM = 2x + 8.......2(7) + 8 = 22
AC = 3x + 6.......3(7) + 6 = 27
MC = 7x............7(7) = 49
