Sum of angles = 180°

45 + 2k + k = 180°

3k = 180 - 45

3k = 135

k = [tex] \frac{135}{3} [/tex] = 45°

Hence, k is 45°.

You would do:

2k+45+k=180

Combine like terms

2k+k or 2k+1k= 3k

You should get

3k+45=180

You want to do

180-45

Then get

3k=135

Divide by 3

135/3

K= 45
