it is 1200 feet. This is a variation of a 5-12-13 triangle. I could use Pythagoras to show what's up
1300^2 = 500^2 + b^2
1690000 = 250000 + b^2
b^2 = 1690000 - 250000
b^2 = 1440000
b = 1200 feet
