Ecuador is a diverse population, the largest ethnic group is that of the mestizos or white. It is a mixture of Spanish and Amerindian descent make up approximately 65 of the population. Colonial-era Spanish are Mostly white Ecuadorians are of origin which was Spaniards born in the Iberian Peninsula in Spain.
